Sea Life Centre Mural Presentation

On Thursday afternoon a group of us got together and delivered a presentation in front of a team of documentary film makers to the directors of the Sealife Centre, the producer at Juice FM, and the director of the Brighton 'Walk of Fame'.

The Presentation was a pitch to paint a mural in the tunnel that runs from the Brighton Sealife Centre to the Sea Front. To celebrate the history of the Brighton Music Scene and honor artists who tie links with the city of Brighton.

The Presentation went down well and the clients seemed to be very excited by our initial ideas. The projects starts at the beginning of the summer term (April 19th) and we have a month to work on the mural. The project will coincide with the Brighton Fringe Festival where there will be a grand opening on May 20th. As well as Documentary film being made on the project by students from Hasting College and a Publicity campaign is being run by Juice FM

Exciting times lay ahead...

Ditto Press

Today we visited the really nice guys from Ditto Press at their studio in Dalston, London. This was part of our self-publishing extension studies. Over the last couple of days we have been putting together a zine for print using a Risograph printing method which they printed for us. Here are a couple of photographs via their website.

An afternoon with Mike Perry

During our trip to New York we were lucky enough to visit the studio of Mike Perry and spent the afternoon painting a mural in his kitchen

New York City

I've just returned from an incredible week in New York City where we visited the studios of Mario Hugo, Part & Parcel (formerly Rad Mountain) and painted a mural in the studio of Mike Perry. Pat and I were also lucky enough to sit in the bizarre cult like audience of the David Letterman Show. As well as eating enough food in a week to reduce my life expectancy by about 5 years!

Tattooed Mountain Women and Spoon Boxes of Daghestan

Book cover number 3 of 3 - Finally finished this series. The idea was to incorporate drawing, photography and collage into all 3 pieces whilst keeping a sense on continuity through out the series.
